OpenTV SDK Development Suite C2.2 RELEASE

The OpenTV SDK Team is happy to release SDK Development Suite C2.2!

Thanks again to the many community members who posted issues and feedback, and helped us get to this exciting point.

What’s new since the Beta3 release?

  • Update of all documentation and help files
  • GetJFont 2.8, which includes OpenTV teletext character set support
  • Introduction of a new tool f2abi to convert a flow file into appstore binary image format
  • And, of course, bug fixes
The full SDK Suite C2.2 release includes these additions and upgrades:
  • A single, unified installation package that includes all components
  • Online Support registration, with immediate generation and delivery of user registration keys
  • Upgraded Help and User documentation throughout
  • HTML Content Developer Guide for Spyglass 2.5
  • Upgraded SDK
  • GetJFont 2.8, which now includes convenient character selection, 16bit non-Unicode font, and the OpenTV teletext character set
  • Command line version of GetJFont for use in batch processes
  • GDBO 6.60, with Eclipse CDT platform compatibility
  • Updates torco to support reporting errors in rc files
  • Introduction of new tool f2abi to convert a flow file into appstore binary image format
  • Upgraded VSTB
  • Support for Core 2.2, including new Core feature areas such as Home Networking, Recording Library, and FlashLite. Refer to the VSTB User Guide for detailed information
  • Support for tuning cards: DVB-S, DVB-C, and DVB-T
  • Support the configuration of MPEG2/H264 video and audio decoder in configuration manager
  • Support for user-customized fonts
  • Introduction of IDE
  • New Eclipse-based product
  • Coding assistant and online help
  • Support for multiple projects and wizard
  • Ability to import existing code
  • Support for different editors, for ease of development: Graphics Editor, Palette Editor, and RID Editor
  • Automatic makefile generation
  • Integrated application execution using VSTB and STBs, including debugging
 SDK Development Suite C2.2 is now available on http://community.opentv.com.
