OpenTV SDK Development Suite C2.2 R1 RELEASE

Dear OpenTV Community Member,

The OpenTV SDK Team is happy to release SDK Development Suite C2.2 R1, and a New Developers Page on the Community Website!

What’s New in the R1 Release?

We concentrated this release on bug fixes, including the following:

SDK C2.2:
- gmake: fixed the crash bug if a shell command is called in the makefile
- flwbuild: fixed the incorrect reading for flow model with CR+LR line endings
SDK API C2.2:
- Updated the API files for Core 2.0 and Core 2.2
- Updated the API help document
IDE C2.2:
- updated with several minor bug fixes, detailed in the release notes
VSTB C2.2:
- Updated the Core 2.2 version to build 34
- Support configurable bitrates for MUX files

SDK Development Suite C2.2 R1 is available on http://community.opentv.com.

Dear OpenTV Community member,

Exciting News!

We started our Community website back in September 2009 and it has grown quickly over the last year-and-a-half. Today, we can proudly announce that the OpenTV Community includes more than a thousand subscribers across over 200 organizations! Subscribers include students, network operators, and many application developers.

OpenTV SDK Development Suite C2.2 RELEASE

Dear OpenTV Community Member,

The OpenTV SDK Team is happy to release SDK Development Suite C2.2!

Thanks again to the many community members who posted issues and feedback, and helped us get to this exciting point.

What’s new since the Beta3 release?

Update of all documentation and help files
GetJFont 2.8, which includes OpenTV teletext character set support
Introduction of a new tool f2abi to convert a flow file into appstore binary image format
And, of course, bug fixes

The full SDK Suite C2.2 release includes these additions and upgrades:

A single, unified installation package that includes all components
Online Support registration, with immediate generation and delivery of user registration keys
Upgraded Help and User documentation throughout
HTML Content Developer Guide for Spyglass 2.5
Upgraded SDK
GetJFont 2.8, which now includes convenient character selection, 16bit non-Unicode font, and the OpenTV teletext character set
Command line version of GetJFont for use in batch processes

The OpenTV SDK Team is happy to release the awaited SDK Development Suite C2.2 BETA.3.

Thanks to your reports, we were able to identify and fix bugs, and increase the quality and stability of the overall product. Thank you for your continued input, your contributions are really making a difference.

What’s new in BETA.3?

The version BETA v2 had two purposes:

Documentation update:
- Add "HTML Content Developer Guide for Spyglass 2.5"
VSTB supports more Core 2.2 extensions:
- Recording Library
- Flashlite
- Home Networking
